Who We Are

The National Tree Collections of Scotland is a partnership project, established in 2011 by the Forestry Commission Scotland and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in partnership with the Perth & Kinross Countryside Trust.

The day to day running and management of the project is undertaken by a project officer employed by the Perth & Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT).  This work is overseen by a steering group comprised of experts drawn from the PKCT, Forestry Commission Scotland, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Forest Research, the Royal Scottish Forestry Society, National Trust for Scotland, and private sector representatives.
