An historic planted landscape, Camperdown Park covers an area of over 400 acres, and is home to no fewer than 190 species of trees.
This mature woodland is the legacy of a visionary 19th century landowner Lord Robert Duncan. Still standing in the grounds today, Camperdown is the birthplace of the Camperdown Elm, a short, broad, “weeping” variety of elm.
Discovered around 1835 every Camperdown Elm in the world can trace its ancestry back to that original tree.
